The graphical programming software of the POB robots evolves to the release 2 for RISBEE and release 4 for POB-Tools. The graphical programming software RISBEE has been totaly rewriten, taking advantage of the feedback of the numerous teachers who work with the POB-Bot robot. More user friendly, clearer, the new interface gives over simplicity to teachers and students. RISBEE is dedicated to users who have no technical knowledge in programming, from junior high school. Program with C, Java and Basic Real IDE, the POB-Tools V4 brings significant new features compares to the previous release : Project management, source code editor, integrated help including source code examples that you can copy/paste...and of course compilation and upload onto the robot of the compiled program. POB-Tools V4 is currently available for Windows. POB-Tools V4 will be be soon multi-plateform (Windows, Mac OS, Linux).

After 5 years of good and faithful services, the module which made POB growing, the programmable color camera POB-Eye evolves to the POB-Eye II...with great new features....

							New features: Manages Inputs/Outputs 3,5 times faster. A USB port A Serial port A Zigbee port (option) Micro color camera : resolution 160x120 The Programming/Run button disappears

...and also enhances the POB robots :

The camera picture gets bigger, the treatment's speed increases, yet the two new features that will be the more appreciated will probably be the USB conexion and the Zigbee option..

Despite the new camera, the work you already did with the version I remains compatible on the new robots. You just have to modify some parameters (like the image size) and recompile.

The local educational institution of Lyon (France) organizes a robot competition with all the high school of the region. Students of 17 years old will compete next May 6th with robots to help persons (RAP Challenge).

Over 50 schools and 500 students of the course "Engineer Sicences" will compete with robots they have customized to help people with restricted mobility.
